Teaching students the names and locations of countries, cities, and capitals worldwide while maintaining their attention in class can be quite challenging for teachers. However, Seterra offers a solution by utilizing games to make geography lessons active and enjoyable.
Seterra is a versatile application which provides access to approximately 200 geography activities. Its primary objective is to simplify the learning process of identifying and naming cities, regions, continents, countries, rivers, lakes, seas, oceans, and even planets within the solar system.
With six different modes, Seterra offers various ways to engage students. The “Pin” mode, known as the identification mode, prompts students to click on locations to identify the regions. The label mode requires students to write the indicated places directly on the map. In the coincidence mode, students match the names of places with the designated areas on the map using pins. Additionally, Seterra includes a voice function that enables students to hear the pronunciation of place names in different languages.
The desktop version offers games in 34 languages. All games can be enjoyed online or offline, providing flexibility and accessibility for users.
